Colle Manora established in 1981 is a 100ha estate in Monferrato, Piemonte with 20ha of vines which form an amphitheater of vineyards flanked on both sides by woods. This perfect setting enhanced by the biodiversity of their land gives life to their classic wines. Mimosa is made from Sauvignon grapes, which were planted some 20 years ago when international varieties were brought to Piedmont.

The Barbera d’Asti Superiore 2017 is a classic example of Barbera from one of the best areas in Monferrato. It is handpicked at perfect maturity and macerates on the skins for 13 to 15 days after which it matures in barrique to give it the perfect balance in body, structure and intensity. The outcome is a classy Barbera that embodies the true nature of elegance and subtle power. It is stylish and opens out to express spicy notes mingled with, delicate violet, juicy cherry and small dark berry undertones. The combination of its fruity quality backed by vibrant acidity and silky tannins allows for a focused lingering finish.

Excellent value wine.

Company Profile

Born from the careful recovery of an ancient 19th century farmhouse and its lands, COLLEMANORA, proudly managed by the Schön family, dominates the smooth hills of Monferrato (Piemonte), in a natural amphitheatre of single-body vineyards, set among the picturesque villages of Quargnento and Fubine, now included in the Unesco Heritage.

In the hands of Giorgio Schön, entrepreneur and gentlemen driver, and Marina Orlandi Contucci, whose family has been linked to the wine culture for generations, the winery and its wines carry within the mall the values of Made in Italy: Quality, Elegance, Passion.

The pride of the historic Monferrato area, with its robust native grapes, combined with aromatic fantasies of international varieties, produces wines of great personality: the perfect gathering of the Italian style, inspired by the creative flair of Mila Schön, the Lady of Fashion, and the love for racing cars-represented since the logo: a red stroke, placed to collect and protect a bunch of grapes.
