Wine, art and nature, traditional and essential points for Bortolomiol, a family owned winery that has brought the culture of the territory and the very high quality of its work into the glass for sixty years. The maniacal care of the vineyard and the precise agronomic techniques come together in this vintage Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. The quality of the label reflects the natural characteristics of the terroir and combines, in a historic product such as “Ius Naturae”, the winemaking philosophy to be protected and respected, thanks also to the strong sensitivity towards ecological and social oriented models. A rigid Green Mark protocol, introduced in 2011, highlights how the environment and its sustainability are the priority, the most tangible result of which is certainly this expression of Valdobbiadene which boasts the Environmental Product Declaration and celebrates the organic grapes of the rows placed in the heart of the Filandetta Park.
Valdobbiadene Prosecco Brut “Ius Naturae” also embodies a historical passage of the cellar. It was the founder Giuliano Bortolomiol who inaugurated the first Brut dosage in the Prosecco world in 1960 and who perfected the second fermentation according to the Martinotti Method.
Quick sip of energy and vigor, animated by an imperceptible and caressing perlage, it is a pleasant expression of flowers and fruit; a delicate peony, orange blossom, apple, pear and exotic fruit are supported by chalky mineral nuances. On the palate it is harmonious and fresh, with excellent progression.
Fully satisfying when paired with any meal, we tasted it with a warm seafood appetizer.
The company was founded in 1760. It was later led by Giuliano Bortolomiol, father of the current four daughters (Maria Elena, Elvira, Luisa and Giuliana) who have been running the company since his death. The commitment of Bortolomiol women is in fact aimed not only to proudly affirm a female vision of work, but above all to bring greater sensitivity to the territory. Women’s excellence in fact for women Bortolomiol also means engaging in carrying out projects for humanitarian purposes, such as the project in Benin (Africa) aimed at the integration into the business world of 60 women, as well as special courses for holders with assistance in the vineyard and advice from expert agronomists or even the support now consolidated to the Community of Sant’Egidio and the initiative “Wine for life”. The future of the company is oriented to opening up to new markets and to a real commitment of the company in important environmental and humanitarian projects.
