Since the new Prosecco Rosè was officially launched on the market a couple of months ago, we have been lucky enough to taste several of it and this was convincing, so we feel comfortable in validating the choice of producers and the Consortium to believe and invest in this version of the most popular Italian sparkling wine.
Among the many tasted Prosecco Rosè, we have been particularly impressed by the Prosecco doc Rosé extra dry vintage 2019 by Vigna Dogarina, the historic winery from Salgareda (Treviso) that has been part of the Vi.V.O. We do not think we are exaggerating, first of all, if we say that it is perhaps the most beautiful packaging dedicated to this type of wine which, thanks to the evocative company emblem embossed on the bottle, gives further elegance and originality. On the nose, we can feel sensations of small berries, in particular raspberry, strawberries, but also hints of white fruit (peach) and light citrus notes (orange blossom) are immediate and clean. In the mouth a beautiful freshness and also a good flavor, we understand the perfect mix between the “sweetness” of Glera (which represents about 90% of the blend) and the acidicy of Pinot Noir (10%). We paired it with an excellent seafood risotto and it was a perfect choice.
