2011 is a special vintage, a harvest to remember for its healthy grapes and great fragrant components that come from places of extraordinary beauty and from vineyards in the most suggestive promontories. Few territories have a sense of the beauty like Franciacorta: the tradition of winemaking in Franciacorta comes from a group of Cluniac monks who took care of a vineyard, a heterogeneous place of free trade and constantly growing ambitions.
In this context of viticulture in continuous search for the highest quality and perfection Gualberto is born. This wine is a Franciacorta of refined finesse, the culmination of excellence in the synaesthesia of power and fragility, the gift of a suitable terroir but also of the interminable season of rest on yeasts. Eighty-four months of enrichment, a modern product that benefits from continuous research to increasingly develop that refinement that distinguishes the classic Franciacorta method, an ensemble of naturalness and authenticity.
Fruity nuances of citrus fruits, candied orange peel, melon and then mango, sage to anticipate the toasted notes of dried fruit and the pleasant aromas of pastry. The taste is rich and fresh, with a punctiform perlage, substance and softness of a prolonged sip experienced on the pleasure of non-dosage.
An indispensable Franciacorta, to be enjoyed in a pairing with any meal.
Agricultural tradition since the thirteenth century, the Ricci Curbastro family runs farm estates in Rontana di Brisighella (Ravenna), and the homonymous farm estate of Capriolo in Franciacorta (Brescia). Of the 32 hectares of estate surface area, 27.5 (68 acres) are planted with vineyards according to the strict guidelines of modern viticulture and of the Consorzio Vini Franciacorta (Franciacorta Wine Consortium), of which the estate is member since its foundation. In the secular park is located the underground wine-cellar, where the fermentation processes and the slow aging of Franciacorta DOCG take place. Inside the farmhouses of the Ricci Curbastro estate is located the Agricultural and Wine Museum, a unique reality in Franciacorta that preserves thousands of objects that testify to the agricultural work of the past.
