Gavi is beautiful: savory, taut, mineral. Its sip is beautiful, the purity of which is manifested in brilliant golden yellow nuances, in a bouquet of citrus fruits that vertically push the palate towards a decided salinity, to finally grant an elegant almondy mouth.
Beautiful is also the territory that embraces the sea and the mountains in a suggestive landscape nestled between Piedmont and Liguria where the vineyard, clinging to a slope 250 meters above sea level, receives sun and coolness, humid nights and sea breezes.
La Cedraia's Gavi DOCG Selezione is the summary of such a beauty. It is born where the deep soils of compact gray-yellowish marls bring in the glass a wine-making excellence that Marco Cremonini with his daughters Laura and Francesca has carefully recovered, incorporating the love transmitted by his father Carlo and the wine vocation of hectares of properties that have been lost in the early 1960s. Today only 3, half of which are planted with vineyards, for a sustainable Gavi produced in a place where biodiversity is the essence and expression of hills and vineyards as far as the eye can see.
White, dry, fresh, persistent, it is vinified in purity by fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, keeping all its fragrance and perfumes intact.
To be enjoyed fresh, as an aperitif and paired with appetizers and white meat dishes, fish and shellfish, vegetable pies, cold cuts and fresh cheeses.

Company Profile

The winery situated at Villa La Cedraia is the result of the enthusiasm and perseverance of the wine-maker Marco Cremonini who, supported by his daughters Laura and Francesca, recovered the vine-growing vocation of the estate lost in the early sixties. Made out of the "indigenous" white wine grape variety named Cortese, the Gavi DOCG La Cedraia is a valuable production of the number-one Piedmont white wine within the territory where the Liguria and Piedmont merge together. The winery follows at all stages of its production the "sustainability" principles, from the cultivation to the wine making, by specific measures aimed at minimizing the impact on environment and climate: our Gavi DOCG has been awarded by the Italian Ministry of Environment of the official VIVA Sustainable Wine label. For an exciting "Wine Experience” La Cedraia offers a beautiful old villa surrounded by a centuries-old park, overlooking the vineyard. We invite guests to enjoy the charm of this magnificent land between Piedmont and Liguria, where they can savor the flavors in our Wine Tasting Rooms, browse selections of wines in our Show Room and Wine Shop, relax in an atmosphere of old-world vaulted ceilings and filled with antiques, and enjoy a place surrounded by vineyards with an unforgettable view of the Gavi hills.
