We have followed Villa Sandi for many years and we consider it a privileged observatory over all the souls of Prosecco. Indeed, the well-known winery owned by the Moretti Polegato family has long testified the excellent segmentation of Prosecco wine, highlighting how Glera grape can express itself in different ways also in relation to different terroirs.

An excellent example is the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore docg brut “millesimato” which is able to highlight the peculiarities of the different vintages.

We tasted the 2019 vintage and we liked it very much as it was able to enhance the peculiarities of Prosecco in the best possible way by combining both fresh notes of flowers (acacia) and white fruit (apple and peach), but also beautiful hints of minerals and aromatic herbs such as sage.

In the mouth we felt a very pleasant creaminess, but always a great freshness and excellent harmony. And above all an incredible drinkability which remains a strategic asset of this wine that is rightly defined “democratic”.

We chose an “ethnic” pairing with an excellent mix of sushi and sashimi and the wedding was just perfect.
