From the territory of Menfi and from the best Nero d'Avola grapes comes the symbol of Mandrarossa, Cantine Settesoli flagship wine. Cantine Settesoli is a productive community of winemakers catalysts of an economy and a wine culture linked to the Sicilian territory. Cartagho is the award-winning label that translates into the glass the best expression of Nero d'Avola, a grape grown along the southern coast of Sicily in environmental conditions of light, wonderful marine influences and ideal temperatures mitigated by the Iblei Mountains. A vine originating from the Syracusan districts that in recent years has found the right spaces for development and credibility. From blending wine to vinification in purity just as in our tasting expression, Cartagho is a real “gem” with a very long evolutionary potential. Fruity nose and a rich dry extract draw the salient features of Mediterranean memories. Dry, balanced, softly evolved, it offers the warmth and harmonies of Sicily: dark plums, licorice, rhubarb, candied citrus, scents of musk and eucalyptus. Clean and direct, to be tasted in large red wine glasses, served at a temperature of 18 degrees, combined with a preparation rich in flavor such as the traditional swordfish recipe, made in the Messinese way.
