La Cappuccina
The company was founded back in 1890 and its 40 hectares of vines have been grown for generations amongst the basalt rocks of volcanic origins. The company is now run by the fourth generation of vine growers: Sisto, Pietro and Elena Tessari. The company is named after the chapel (Oratorio San Giovanni Battista, 1725) where once upon a time the Capuchin monks used to celebrate mass. The company obtained its organic certification in 1986.

In our opinion, one of the most original and interesting Veneto reds is this Campo Buri from the excellent La Cappuccina winery, a unique blend of Carmenere and Oseleta that guarantees a decisively intense, richly elegant wine. Its aroma contains an excellent mix of sensations, green, grassy and small fruit (blackberries, blackcurrants, raspberries), but also spices starting from cloves. Its flavour is a balance of complexity and roundness thanks to an acidic backbone that makes this wine one of the most interesting, even in terms of drinking and combining (excellent with meat
and mature cheese, like the great Monte Veronese).
