The range of Cantina di Negrar and its proprietary brand Domini Veneti, in addition to the precious red wines from the classic Valpolicella area, also offers important white wines, sparkling wines, and rosé wines on various markets. Among these is a wine that is part of Verona’s history and a true protagonist in international markets even in distant times: Soave Classico DOC.

The favorable territorial position of the Soave area, already known in ancient times for the excellent quality of its crops, became recognized for wine production in the 1920s, when studies to define the characteristics of the wines produced led to the establishment, in 1931, of a first delimited area for the production of “Vino Tipico Soave.” This later evolved into the Soave Classico DOC designation in 1968.

Cultivated using the “Veronese pergola” system, the vineyard protects the grape clusters from sunlight and harsh weather. The main grape variety used is Garganega, along with Trebbiano di Soave, which together give life to Soave wine.

These varieties are not highly aromatic, but Garganega, in particular, is rich in aromas of almonds and wild white flowers, while Trebbiano di Soave contributes salinity and structure.

Cantina di Negrar’s Soave Classico, a wine of tradition and ambition, completes an important range of Verona wines. In particular, its Soave is notably mineral but also delicate and harmoniously aromatic. It’s a wine we associate with the Japanese market, which, along with the entire Asian region, is rediscovering the pleasure of sipping the freshness and unique identity of Italian white wines.
