The essence of unity, collaboration, and family is deeply ingrained in the nearly six-decade history of Castelli del Grevepesa. An emblematic offering from this picturesque Tuscan company is their Clemente VII line, paying homage to the Medici Florence that continues to captivate millions of tourists who flock to the Chianti Classico region each year, the very place where the wine we’re savoring today hails from.

Being in Tuscany is akin to a daily voyage into a realm of pleasure, abounding in art, nature, history, and exceptional wine, among other delights. Yet, to uphold this esteemed status, wineries must vigilantly consider the necessary refinements to stay in step with the demands of consumers in various global markets.

In this particular instance, Castelli di Grevepesa has always possessed a distinct identity, expertly infused into its products. The Clemente VII Chianti Classico exudes the aroma of contemporary Tuscan culture, while remaining deeply connected to its robust heritage. It greets the glass with an amiable and refreshing character, despite its brief stint in large casks and a small portion in barriques.

The ruby-red hue with brilliant highlights enhances the joy of approaching the nose to savor the sun-ripened red fruits and harmonious spice blend that beckon the senses. In the mouth, the Clemente VII Chianti Classico unveils an unexpected elegance and a remarkable harmony, concluding with a candid, smooth, and captivating finish.

As you indulge in this Chianti from Castelli di Grevepesa, it’s impossible not to daydream about being in that idyllic corner of Tuscany where the landscape enriches and completes the tasting experience, from the eyes to the palate.

Pair it with a splendid luncheon or a convivial dinner among close friends, and you’ll feel entirely at ease.

Company Profile

The largest Chianti Classico family, who with passion and hard work produces fine quality wines, accessible to everyone, recognised and valued throughout the world. Over 50 years later, Castelli del Grevepesa today has over 120 associated winegrowers, still including four of the original founders. Most of the Associated Vintners have their estates in the Chianti Area which widen mainly in the environs of Greve in Chianti, San Casciano Val di Pesa, Tavarnelle Val di Pesa and Barberino Val d’Elsa. From the wide expansion of the vineyards planted and cultivated by the members themselves on the hills of the Chianti Classico region and after years of experience within these territories, small areas or even single vineyards have been identified where the grapes with superior qualitative characteristics can be cultivated.
