Castelli del Grevepesa’s history is rooted in the tuscan Chianti region and is bolstered by the cooperative will of a group of producers who have always been committed to preserving the vines and a fascinating place with a strong national enological representation.

The desire to explore more Tuscan locations and broaden the company’s product range has prompted the company to create a magnificent white grape variety that has historically been ennobled in the Maremma area.

Vermentino is actually the symbol and true quality business card of this region due to the steep hills and close proximity to the sea.

Thanks to the steel processing, a powerful aroma of spring flowers emerges from the bright straw yellow hue with subtleties that lead to a bright and pronounced green, gracefully complemented by white pulp fruit and tropical notes.

Balance and structure merge with well-defined aromatic characteristics on the tongue.

Sapid, notably mineral, and highly distinctive, “Elianto” clearly expresses the contemporary and transversal characteristics of the Vermentino grape.

Castelli del Grevepesa is a true Tuscan classic in the domain of white vines, backed by competence and always attentive to tradition, which has managed to blend the distinctive and crucial aspects of Tuscan popularity in this sector.

A contemporary wine to complement cuisines where natural, fresh ingredients are the centerpiece. Vermentino “Elianto” manages to be the protagonist of a tangible modernity, from risotto with cuttlefish to diced tuna with basil oil.

Company Profile

The largest Chianti Classico family, who with passion and hard work produces fine quality wines, accessible to everyone, recognised and valued throughout the world. Over 50 years later, Castelli del Grevepesa today has over 120 associated winegrowers, still including four of the original founders. Most of the Associated Vintners have their estates in the Chianti Area which widen mainly in the environs of Greve in Chianti, San Casciano Val di Pesa, Tavarnelle Val di Pesa and Barberino Val d’Elsa. From the wide expansion of the vineyards planted and cultivated by the members themselves on the hills of the Chianti Classico region and after years of experience within these territories, small areas or even single vineyards have been identified where the grapes with superior qualitative characteristics can be cultivated.
