Territory and culture: we are talking about the one in which stands the denomination Doc Roma, which was born recently, in 2011, and which is part of an ancient vine history in Lazio, narrated even before the birth of the city of Rome itself. Fine wines sung by poets and writers, are told today through the Vinea Domini Line with a language that reads the vine on volcanic soils and tuffaceous clays, lakes and microclimates perfect for a quality viticulture. Vinea Domini and Roma Doc are the nobility in the Lazio region, an accurate production of only 6000 bottles in respect of native vines such as pimpled Malvasia (that everybody call “Lazio’s Malvasia”), which are strongly linked to the places where they are best expressed by nature. A white wine with enveloping olfactory sensations that recalls pink grapefruit and a hint of sage, the aromas of musk and notes of apple and ripe fruit. Citrine sweet and final attack in a light straw-yellow calyx with bright green reflections. A bitter taste softens sweetness and warm aromatic nuances.
We suggest to combine with fish or shellfish dishes, spaghettoni with clams or seafood, or to propose as an aperitif, to be served at a temperature of 10 degrees.

Company Profile
Gotto d’oro winery preserves the ancient wine making tradition of the fertile Castelli Romani area to the south of Rome, which traces its roots back to Roman times, and gives the company its brand name “Gotto” (goblet).
In fact, the term derives from the Latin guttus, an alternative form of gutus (jug or flask), and indicates a vessel used for drinking wine.
The international reputation of Grotto d’oro’s products is such that they have come to be associated with the history and monuments of Rome itself, the Eternal City.
