Belief in tradition and in the deep-rooted identity of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG region is a distinctive hallmark of the Bortolomiol winery, which has remained consistently true to a well-established style appreciated in key markets and by wine lovers around the world.

The wine we tasted today is undoubtedly tied to Bortolomiol’s legacy. This evocative Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG embodies the tradition of this proudly dynamic corner of Veneto, an area that has successfully modernized its winemaking culture while preserving its authentic spirit.

Bortolomiol’s welcoming and contemporary estate perfectly reflects these values, offering guests a sense of home through curated tasting experiences and guided tours. This journey leads to the remarkable artistic and architectural restoration project of the Filandetta Park, which adds even more reasons to visit Bortolomiol.

The “Prior” Prosecco Superiore stands out for its finesse and clarity: an enveloping and lively pérlage; when served at the right temperature, it immediately releases broad aromas of summer fruit with citrus notes and green spices.

On the palate, it impresses with its harmony, mirroring the aromas detected on the nose. A lingering mineral note completes its enveloping character.

While it pairs naturally with seafood, we also enjoy it with seasonal vegetable pasta or baccalà mantecato, a beloved local dish in the area.

Company Profile

Having always been a point of reference on the Prosecco panorama, the Bortolomiol winery is based in Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG appellation area. The sparkling winemaking company was founded by Giuliano Bortolomiol in the 1940s, although the family tradition dates back to 1760. Giuliano, who graduated from the Conegliano School of Oenology, was the first to create a Prosecco brut. Today the winery is run by sisters Elvira, Maria Elena, Giuliana and Luisa Bortolomiol, who are committed and passionate about carrying on the family tradition, making continuous investments into technology and overseeing the entire production process. Aided by a team of oenologists, the Bortolomiol sisters focus their attention on sustainable projects that safeguard mankind and the land.
