In an enchanted valley surrounded by the Dolomites, the gold of Tyrol and, over time, it became Teroldego, a wine of great charm that accompanied the winemakers of this part of Trentino on a journey that was then enclosed in this 2019 bottle: a Teroldego reserve produced by Mezzacorona, a winery that has aimed at research and territorial protection for decades.
The Teroldego Riserva di Mezzacorona has a very intense and lively red color, its maturation in wood has then harmonized both the color and the final notes of the tasting even more. In fact, both the notes of sweet tobacco and red fruit are perceived on the nose, but the alpine floral part also plays its part in a complex breadth that captivates the taster’s nose. In the mouth it is full, determined to bring out its well-defined tannic part and its general harmony is then rewarded by a softness and length of great value.
The alcohol content is not excessive (13%) and makes this reserve, produced from the good 2019 harvest which was particularly rainy in spring and hot in the summer months, elegant and authentic.
It is advisable to combine this Teroldego with well-structured dishes based on meat or mountain cheeses, excellent with braised meats and baked pastas, it can then be, at the end of the meal, a great pleasure to enjoy in company while talking about fascinating wine stories such as that of Teroldego.
