SCAIA was a vision that guided the four Castagnedi siblings to dare enologically, in order to provide consumers with all the knowledge of a territory highly suited [for viticulture], obtaining products with an identifying character and the great harmony that distinguishes them. The wine we tasted is a coherent synthesis of this: SCAIA “Paradiso” is a Veneto IGT composed primarily of native grapes such as Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, to which the character of Cabernet Sauvignon is added. The latter, thanks to a light withering of the grapes, allows the herbaceous and fresh notes typical of the variety to remain intact, while simultaneously giving the wine greater roundness and an aromatic profile rich in fruity notes, resulting in a powerful and balanced taste between softness and acidity.
An authentic and brilliant color; a nose that, with its breadth, offers emotions that immediately convey the uniqueness of SCAIA wines. Well-assembled spices and red fruit on the nose make this Veneto IGT Paradiso very intriguing. In the mouth, the olfactory harmony combines with excellent structure and body for a soft and very persistent finish.
